SharePoint 2013 out of box templates

In this post we will discuss about various out of box templates in SharePoint 2013. Below are out of box templates category wise:

1- Collaboration Templates:
- Team Site: This template is useful for a team that needs to share general content.

- Blog: This template is useful when you want to empower a user or group of users to publish information related to a topic on an intranet or employee portal.

- Project Site: This template is used for a project team that requires a common location for the storage of project documentation, milestones, and assignments.
- Community Site:

- Document Center: This site can be used as a documents repository on an intranet or shared location.

- Records Center: This site template is used for creating a records repository or formal archive location for files.

- Business Intelligence Center:

- Enterprise Search Center: This site is used within any site collection where more control and flexibility around.

- Basic Search Center: This site is used within any site collection where more control and flexibility around search interfaces is required.

- Visio Process Repository:

- Publishing Portal: This site is used for Internet-facing sites, corporate Intranets, and any other sites that requires the publishing functionality.

- Publishing Site: This site template is used as a subsite to any site in a Publishing Portal that requires the ability to easily create and publish pages.

- Publishing Site (with Workfl ow): This site template is used as a subsite to any site in a Publishing Portal that requires the ability to easily create and publish pages.

- Enterprise Wiki: This site would be used for creating a corporate wiki or knowledge base.
