Enable Disable attachment column in SharePoint 2010 list

In this post we will discuss how to enable or disable the attachment column in SharePoint 2010 list.

To enable or disable attachment column follow below steps:

Step-1:
Open the SharePoint site, Navigate to the particular SharePoint list.
Step-2:
Then in the list page, From the Ribbon from List Tools section select List and Chose List Settings from the right hand side as shown in the figure below:

Step-3:
Then in the List settings page, Click on Advanced settings under General Settings section as shown i the figure below:

Step-4:
The above step will open the Advanced settings page. There check the attachments and chose enabled or disabled from the radio button as shown in he figure below and then click on OK.

Then your attachment for the particular list will be disabled.
