How to create web applications in SharePoint 2010?

In this article we will discuss the details steps to create web applications in SharePoint 2010. You can also check my last article on how to create a site collection in SharePoint 2010.

Step-1:

Go to Start->All Programs->Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products->SharePoint 2010 Central Administration.

Step-2:

Click the option Manage web applications under Application Management.

Step-3:

Then Click the option New, Create New Web Application window will open.

Step-4:

Then change the Name and Port ,For changing the port no need to change it at each and every place,just change at one place i.e at the option port it will reflect all.

Step-5:

Then click ok.

After clicked ok one Application Created window will open ,Just click ok.
